José Mourinho charged with misconduct by FA

Jose Mourinho has been charged with misconduct by The Football Association over his expletives and behaviour in Chelsea's defeat at West Ham.

Mourinho, who is appealing against a £50,000 fine and suspended one-match stadium ban for comments made about officials following the 3 October loss to Southampton, faces further charges after being sent to the stand at half-time in the 2-1 defeat at Upton Park by the referee Jonathan Moss.

A statement from the FA read “José Mourinho has been charged with misconduct in relation to his language and/or behaviour towards the match officials in or around the dressing room area at half-time.”

Silvino Louro, one of Mourinho’s assistants was also dismissed during the match and has been charged with misconduct in relation to his behaviour in the technical area.

West Ham have been charged for failing to control their players in the 44th minute of the game and Chelsea have also been charged with the same offence for an alleged breach in the 45th minute of the game

“All parties have until 6pm on Thursday [29 October 2015] to reply.”

The Blues face Stoke City in the League Cup on Tuesday and it is possible that Mourinho will be given a week to save his job, starting at the Britannia Stadium. His side host Liverpool at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.
