FC Barcelona president: "too many coincidences" on Barcelona's woes

FC Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu gave an interview on 8TV  explaining as well as giving his opinion on certain situation such as the club being fined for displaying the Catalan nationalist flags inside the Camp Nou.

Bartomeu On UEFA: "We aren't going up against anyone; it isn't a war on UEFA. We're just going to defend our members' rights. UEFA wanted to close our ground and we've stopped that from happening. If we are hit with more fines we'll take our case to the CAS, and if don't they rule in our favour, to a Swiss court. I'd like all of this to end with a change to UEFA's rules and regulations".
On candidates for FIFA : "We'll support whoever gets behind the clubs".

On pressure from government : "I'm not saying that there is any, but there have been a lot of coincidences, especially given that 'estelades' have been on display at the Camp Nou for a long time. We've been going through a lot for a while now: speedy rulings and too many coincidences. UEFA, Neymar, FIFA, tax matters..."

On Leo Messi: "The amount of information that has emerged regarding Messi's legal woes just isn't normal. He's a footballer, the best there's ever been and he deserves everyone's respect, if he's made a mistake, he'll deal with it just like anyone else".

On tax investigations: "Of course footballers have to be investigated, but it always seems to be Barça players".

On accusations regarding 'el Clásico': "I ask that the linesman's accusations be fully investigated. If they're true, that's really serious. Referees can make mistakes, but I think that accusations like these are very serious".
