Everton are ready to launch a transfer bid of £3.6million for Barcelona outcast midfielder Alex Song after seizing the opportunity to sign West Ham’s loanee according to reports from Metro.
According to reports in Spain, the Toffees are willing to offer the Spanish giants around £3.6million to secure Song’s signature.
Everton boss Roberto Martinez is still hoping to bolster his squad before the transfer window closes and, with Barcelona said to view Song as surplus to requirements, a deal could be completed by next week. The 27-year-old Cameroon international struggled to fit into the Barcelona team, The Catalan giants or willing to offload the player but not many teams are interested in signing the player.
Song joined Barcelona from Arsenal in 2012 where he received 39 appearances for the Catalan giants and has also failed to hold down a regular starting place at Camp Nou.
