French international Matuidi rejected Premier League trio Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United in favour of PSG stay at the beginning of last season.
28-year-old midfielder claims he had no desire to leave the Ligue 1 champions and is confident he made the right decision in staying.
Matuidi told French radio station RMC: "It's true that I had requests, notably last year.
"But I always wanted to grow and develop at PSG because this team is built to win big competitions.
"I feel good at the club and in the city. I'm Parisian so I really want to play with PSG.
"My priority was always to stay here. In life you never know what tomorrow will bring but today I'm really happy at PSG."Since joining the French giants back in 2011 Matuidi has appeared in 190 games for PSG scoring 20 goals.
