Jürgen Klopp is expected to be active in the winter transfer window as he looks to bring is first addition to the Liverpool's squad and persistent injury issues to Daniel Sturridge and Christian Benteke have created a need in attack.
According to reports from German daily Express Liverpool boss Jürgen Klopp is targeting Bayer Leverkusen striker Stefan Kiessling. With the England international Daniel Sturridge out with an injury the Liverpool boss is set to add another forward to his ranks in January.
Stefan Kiessling has seven appearances for Germany but has not made an international appearance since the 2010 World Cup after a falling out with national coach Joachim Low.
He began his senior career at FC Nurnberg before joining Leverkusen in 2006. The German forward has a total of 461 appearances scoring a total of 167 goals.
