Besiktas 'confirm' two-year deal for Manchester United goalkeeper Victor Valdes


According to reports from The Times, Turkish club Besiktas claimed to have signed Spanish goalkeeper Victor Valdes from Manchester United. The out of favour goalkeeper has said reportedlybeen offered a two-year deal with the option of a third season, However sources are not sure if the player would welcome a move to the Turkish League.

Senol Gunes, the Besiktas coach, initially resisted the arrival of Valdés as he would replace his present goalkeepers.

Valdes fell out of favour with Louis van Gaal, with the Dutchman preferring  to use Sergio Romero.

It is thought Valdes has been offered a two-year deal with the option of a third season.



Meanwhile, David De Gea has been dropped for United's Champions League qualifier against Bruges on Tuesday night.
