More worries for Manchester City after David Silva limps off during Spain's clash with Luxembourg...

Manchester City key Midfielder David Silva has added to Manchester City's injury woes after suffering an ankle ligament injury just 10 minutes into Spain's game against Luxembourg.

Silva, 29, was replaced by Manchester United’s Juan Mata at the Estadio Las Gaunas with an ankle injury after a A reckless challenge from Lars Gerson.

He received treatment for a couple of minutes before re-entering the play but his return was brief.

The news comes after Sergio Aguero confirmed he will miss the upcoming Manchester derby after being stretchered off with a hamstring tear playing for Argentina.

City Fans will now hope the Spaniard returns to the pitch as quickly as possible, as Silva has the ability to decide matches with a single stroke of genius. With success in the Premier League and Champions League expected of this year's City squad, Pellegrini and Company will need the Spaniard's services.
