New York Cosmos star and Real Madrid legend Raúl González revealed to One World Sports that he will be retiring at the end of the current North American Soccer League (NASL) season in November.
"It's not an easy moment, but I think it's the right moment to say goodbye", Raúl acknowledged, adding that it was a "difficult decision".
The Spanish icon is all set to bring down the curtain on a stellar 21-year playing career in which he became a legend for Real Madrid before enjoying an Indian summer at German side Schalke and a stint in Qatar prior to heading Stateside. Raúl, also represented is home country Spain leaving a great impression, However reports from Marca suggests that the Spaniard could stick around in New York to work with the Cosmos' academy.
