Victor Valdes missing from Man Utd’s official team photo

ESPN FC yesterday reported that sources have informed them of United’s willingness to cancel Valdes’ contract so that he could find another club. The official photo released by the Red Devils, therefore, would appear to support this claim, if not verify it.

The ex-Barcelona shot-stopper has had a massive falling out with the Dutch boss following his refusal to play in an U21s fixture last season, and there still appears to be no way back for the 33-year-old.

Manchester United are ready to release Victor Valdes however it is not in there intention to let Liverpool get there hands on the Spanish international.

The Old Trafford giants are prepared to let the 33-year-old leave on a free transfer but only on one condition - he moves abroad and does sign for a Premier League rival.

Liverpool have been looking for a new keeper and it is believed they are interested in Valdes.

United boss Louis Van Gaal has bombed the former Barcelona keeper out after claiming during pre-season that he refused to play in a reserve game.

Valdes, who saw a summer move to Turkey's Besiktas fall through, has been further humiliated by being told not to come into the Carrington training complex when the first team are present.
