Arsenal talisman Alexis Sanchez has limped out of Arsenal's clash against Norwich City with an apparent hamstring injury.
The Gunners lost Laurent Koscielny to a hip complaint in the first half, and the Chilean pulled up in the Norwich penalty area after the interval and was replaced by Joel Campbell as Arsene Wenger's injury problems continues.
Wenger saw Francis Coquelin ruled out for 12 weeks with an injury in the previous match against West Brom where they were defeated 2-1.
The Arsenal boss suggested he was hesitant to rest Alexis prior to the trip to Norwich, despite being aware of a potential hamstring problem for the Chilean.
“I will have to assess that [resting Alexis] a bit later," he told reporters. Spontaneously, it is not maybe the best moment to rest Sanchez. He had a little hamstring alarm but we will see how he recovers from that.
“I think I take information, especially from medical people who know him and treat him everyday and after that we will look at his overall recovery as well but overall when there are alarming signs we want to make the right decision at the right moment but as long as the guys are in confidence, they score goals. It is always difficult to rest them.”
