According to reports  Liverpool are looking to resuscitate the Spanish full back's career. Liverpool has been admiring the 24-year-old for some time now. Reports suggest that the player's loan deal
could end early as the Mirror reports.

Montoya, 24, has not managed to establish himself as a regular at Barca, and has also endured a difficult time at Inter, failing to make a single appearance so far this season.

The Reds were thought to be interested in Montoya over the summer but the 24-year-old opted for a move to Italy on a temporary basis instead.

It is thought he would like to stay in La Liga this time around, but could be open to a Premier League switch.

The Reds could still be interested in signing the Spaniard with new coach Jurgen Klopp looking to put his stamp on the squad inherited from Brendan Rodgers.
