Neymar and Suárez takes control

It seems as if the Catalan giants are getting used to playing without Leo Messi. Over the past several matches the team has shown their capabilities without the Argentine star who is currently out on injury.

Barça have managed to put in some solid defensive performances, only conceding one goal in the last five matches. But above all the lethal duo of Luis Suárez and Neymar up front has helped them overcome the loss of thier talisman Messi.

The partnership between the Uruguayan and the Brazilian has accounted for 17 of the 20 goals Barça have scored since Messi's injury, with Suárez getting nine and Neymar eight. This accounts for 85% of the total amount of goal scored by the team. The duo are also contributing alot of assist through the absence of the Argentine.

Neymar was responsible for setting up Ivan Rakitic for two of the three goals that haven't been scored by Suárez or the Brazilian himself.

Barcelona are set to face Villarreal who are currently 5th in the Primera Division with 21 points just 3 points away from leaders Real Madrid and Barcelona.
