Barcelona man Neymar and referee Clos Gómez had a chat just before the game between Barcelona and Villarreal. Apparently they were talking about the headband. Neymar removed the headband he had on during the warm up and also what he wore in the Champions League.
The ref told the Brazilian he couldn't play wearing the headband as it was against the rules. It featured the Nike logo, and for publicity reasons Neymar was not allowed to wear it.
Neymar did play in the Champions League match against BATE Borisov during the week sporting the headband, which caused some people to compare him with fellow compatriot Ronaldinho.
