Cristiano Ronaldo prepares for Sporting Lisbon return with Real Madrid in important Champions League clash

CRISTIANO RONALDO looked in fine fettle as he returned to his boyhood club Sporting Lisbon ahead of Real Madrid’s Champions League clash.
The Portuguese star and his Los Blancos teammates got a feel for the pitch the night before their Tuesday evening match as they look gain top spot in Group F from Borussia Dortmund.
It’s expected to be a tight game at the Alavalade as Zinedine Zidane’s side only just scraped through their last meeting at the Bernabeu, after late goals from Alvaro Morata and Ronaldo.
Despite trailing Dortmund to top spot by two points in their group, Madrid may only need a draw to book their place in the last 16 of the elite competition.
But Madrid head into the fixture in piping hot form after they blew away arch-rivals Atletico Madrid at the Vicente Calderon after Ronaldo’s hat-trick.
Los Blancos also have El Clasico approaching as they travel to face Barcelona on December 3 in La Liga.
But despite one point potentially being enough for qualification, Zidane insists his side are going for all three points.

He said: “I’m not thinking about first or second place, I am thinking about the players, the club, the team and always doing everything to win the game, nothing more.
“Whatever happens [after that] then we’ll look at the qualifying but most important thing is what we are going to do tomorrow, we’ll do everything possible to win.
“I am not going to calculate anything, and the same for the players.”
